Liz Hepper has been transforming homes into stylish sanctuaries for committed, discerning clients for over twenty-five years. Her work mode, whether contemporary or traditional, possesses a timeless quality that is unique to each project. Her use of natural materials, luxurious textiles, and indigenous colors lends an organic aesthetic to her design that forsakes extremes in trend and encourages sustainability. Punctuating spaces with bold focal points and unexpected furniture and accessory choices, her work excites the eye and creates a very distinctive and original result.
Whether working on a vacation home in Scottsdale, an Art Deco pied-a-terre in Manhattan, a beach house in Mexico or a loft space in Minneapolis, Liz is committed to creating highly functional yet elegantly understated spaces. Her design approach is one of “creative collaboration” between the client, the architect, the contractor, the artisans and the designer. No project is undertaken before there is a thorough understanding of the relationships between the geographical/cultural influences on the home, the architecture of the home and the client’s lifestyle. In this way, the client is guaranteed the project will reflect their sensibility rather than the personal style of the designer.
Liz is a native of the Midwest and completed her interior design training with a Bachelors of Science in Interior Design from the University of Minnesota. She moved to the Desert Southwest in 1996 and founded Liz Hepper Interiors in 2006. In 2012, she opened a second office in New York City. Her designs have received awards from the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID).
