This 12,833 sq ft single family home was built in 2004. This priciest home sold in October 2016. It contains 6 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms.

An 18th-century farm house nestled in an orange grove sold for $7.2 million in April 2016. Since the sale, the buyer subdivided this priciest home into three lots, and intends to renovate the main home and relist it.

What can we expect for 2017?

Demand for housing in the Phoenix metropolitan area is expected to rise, particularly among retiring baby boomers who often relocate to the area. But there’s not enough inventory to satisfy the current level of demand, and this is expected to push home prices further north. Will it push it far enough north to justify the sale of Arizona’s priciest home? Robert Sussman, New York hedge-fund executive, is hoping just that.
