Inaugural Luxury Design Showcase to Transform Arcadia Home

“We are thrilled to announce that the Inaugural Luxury Design Showcase will take place in the Arcadia neighborhood, an exciting canvas to celebrate the debut of the annual event,” said Showcase Chair and LuxePros Principal, Susan Solliday. “The beautiful floor plan will be the perfect palette for this year’s designers. We look forward to a successful design showcase to raise critical funds for Arizona’s most vulnerable children.”

The Design Showcase, hosted by LuxePros, Equity Title of Arizona, and The Team 4 Results/Russ Lyon Sotheby's International Realty, will be open to the public on November 26 to display design interpretations of classic Arizona style and local tastes.

“Each year, show houses across the nation prove to be a showcase of design, featuring interior design talent and raising critical funds for their charities,” said Nancy Pierson, Business Development Manager of Equity Title of Arizona and event co-host. “We are looking forward to opening this premier event here in the valley, welcoming both consumers and designers.”

The two-story, Classic California style stucco home fuses charming views and the best of intriguing architecture and big, beautiful design expected in Arcadia. Built in 2010, the spacious residence was designed by one of Arizona’s own, architect Mike Higgins RA, as a private home. The estate features original detailing including the coffered tongue and groove ceilings, beautiful rich wood flooring, and custom cabinetry. This fall, eight of the valley’s leading interior designers will decorate individual rooms before opening to the public exhibit. Designers have been featured in print, on HGTV and the hit DIY networks Rescue My Renovation.

“We are delighted to work together with such talented designers on this highly-anticipated event. The Luxury Design Showcase explores the unique beauty and charm of luxury living in Arcadia,” says Lara Broadrick, Sales Professional, The Team/Russ Lyon Sotheby's International Realty and event co-host.

The Luxury Design Showcase officially opens with a Patron & Preview Party at the Showcase home on Tuesday, November 21. The Showcase will be open for public viewing Sunday, November 26, 2017. The hours of operation are 11:00 am to 4:00 pm with presentations on valuable insights about design. Furniture and furnishings available for sale will be inventoried and provided upon arrival.  Tickets available at Eventbrite.

Arcadia is a suburb of the Phoenix metropolitan area. Settled by pioneers in the 1840s, it is now one of America’s highest-earning cities with upscale neighborhoods boasting spectacular homes; a favorite of celebrities and professional athletes.

The Arcadia Neighborhood

Arcadia has a big place in Phoenician history. Large 5-acre to half-acre properties and original luxury guest resorts give you an idea of Arcadia property values at a glance. This is one of the most desirable and priciest addresses in Phoenix.

Custom-built homes from the 1920s to 1950s have been maintained and updated over the years. As a result, the estate homes in the Arcadia Neighborhood can quickly soar to over 6 million. Arcadia’s housing is very bright in the valley of the sun

The Lush, green, mature landscapes of the irrigated Arcadia parcels are remnants of the once flourishing orange and date groves. Still suggesting a hint of “rural” as do the quiet streets dotted with architectural blends of Ranch, Revival, and Pueblo styles.

Named “Best Place to Live” by Money magazine

Homeowners tend to do a lot of high-end Architect-involved remodeling, adding an unparalleled diversity to the once similar-looking homes; it’s common to see a country cottage adjacent to a Spanish hacienda. Residents relish the proximity to Scottsdale’s high-end shopping, top schools, world-class resorts, golf resorts, arts centers, great restaurants, as well as Scottsdale and Phoenix nightlife.

Our Charity

Free Arts for Abused Children of Arizona uses the healing powers of the arts to help abused and homeless children build resiliency and learn to trust and heal.

All of the children in Free Arts programs have experienced combinations of family trauma, homelessness, and violence. To begin to heal, they need services including mentoring, a caring community, and an opportunity to learn new skills and express themselves.

In 2011, Free Arts of Arizona was awarded the Governor’s Arts Community Award and was named the Arts Organization of the Year by the Arts and Business Council of Greater Phoenix–the only organization to win this award twice.

In 2015, Free Arts was awarded the 2015 Arts Advocacy Group Award by The Greater Arizona Chapter of the National Society of Arts and Letters. This award recognizes a non-profit organization which has demonstrated outstanding achievements in the arts community: an organization which has taken a leadership role in making an impact on culture, family life, work, leisure and/or education in and through the arts.
